Anyone go to practice?

I wasn't at practice on Saturday, but I did have a dream. In the dream, Marinelli teched everyone one in the room, even itsimmer. The dream was a little foggy, but I did see a lot of fans in the stands video recording the practice.

I guess I will answer. All of the FR, RFR, and SO went to practice. The JR's were playing dodgeball and the SR's were coon hunting.

Practice consisted of working on turkey and coyote calls in preparation for the upcoming season. The regular coaches took the day off, and Metcalf ran practice.

Of course, I might be making that up....

You're obviously a foreigner. Coon hunting season doesn't begin until November.

Speaking of practice, who is doing pbp for the debate tonight? The season is about 6 weeks away, so we should probably start our own practices for pbp.

Has anyone seen Holloway in practice this year? Some say he's got big upside but haven't heard how he looks from a physical development or if he's dominating in the practice room. Anyone?

You'll have to be careful. It's open season on pests and varmints.

true....a cockroach is in danger of getting sprayed no matter what season it is

jes' kidding....togs is okay, brings humor to the board

I was thinking about coming to Iowa City this season. When is duck and rabbit season? Don't want to be around campus during that time!:)
No, No! Do come around Halloween and wear a Donald Duck costume or a Silly Wabbit costume.

We'll pitch in for air fare if Homeland Security says you can board a plane.

I'm not sure you warrant the attention of TnT. However, I'm pretty sure Souchi could arrange for a juvenile welcoming committee at the bridge above the dam in IC.
I remember Tom and Terry taking two of my question on a video feed while all you others just sat there and cried! Time they do it again. Maybe they will have me sit in on there next one.

I sure hope someone can go and report this weekend. Only a month or so to go before things start to warm up. If no one who's local goes and reports, I might just have to drive the 4 hours one way. 4 hours of brown corn stalks..... boooooooring.

What report do you need?
25 Gilman
33 Clark
41 Turk/carton
49 BS
57 MK
65 after midlands Marinelli
74 Meyer
84 Brooks
97 Holloway
285 Stoll.

Wilcke up to 97 and Holloway at 285 til Stoll is ready Togo. 3rd week In Oct is when Iowa has there big recruiting week. Figure Warner, Berge, Costello, Lyon and 6 to 8 others there. Signing day in Nov Flo show will let us know if we land Berge and Warner.

YOU'RE WELCOME

They look good with a positive vibe in the room. A couple are banged up and having to take it easy. The bull was even or on the plus side in TD's against Evans one of the days I was there. He was giving up what looked to be a minimum of 25 pounds. Evans is a welcome addition. He really gets after it in practice and is way more aggressive and may be competing soon. Holloway is huge. I would say the cut to 97 for Holloway will be tougher than the cut to 84 for Wilke but that is from a distance. Stoll is looking mean and working hard.

Clark looked noticeably thicker. Sorensen looks the same. Kemdawg is thicker. Gman is like another coach out there. He goes so hard and pushes whoever he is against. He will beat the shit out of them and than coach them up to help em out. He is just an awesome kid.

Wilke looked more like an 84 than a 97. McDonough is finally back on the mat. People forget how good he is and how much of a player he can be if he can stay healthy. That's all I have from the few practices that I have made. I missed a couple of good match ups due to some old friends showing up and us gossiping like women. No offense intended to Wendy or Fortunata. I have waivered back and forth on posting anything because it seems like arguments arise. I am not going to post who bested who. Practice is just that. Guys are going hard but sometimes trying new things. Plus it is tough trying to watch 4 or 5 different match ups and gossiping and thinking about getting back to the tail gate party.

Are practices open during the week? I have a week off coming up in a couple of weeks and would love to go and check one out. If so, what time are they?

They have common time which is normally at 3:30. I would just call the wrestling office because some days they just go on runs and have individual work outs.
