Anyone in ankney or the Des Moines area having hawks going crazy?

A few days ago a hawk moved into the area behind our house and around a creek carrying on and on. Now it seems like other hawks are joining the fray. I assume at this point in the year it is food/territory related. I wasn’t sure if this was just local to me or if there is something else going on. I will say I haven’t seen a squirrel or rabbit in awhile. Csb.

My initial thoughts are they're going where the food is, or maybe this cool snap temps-wise has sort of triggered them to move (or both?).

Lots of hawks. The small birds are going nuts harassing them. Definitely fewer rabbits in our neighborhood than the past few years.

They probably watched clips of the QB’s from Kids Day practice and lost their collective shite.
