How does one individual have such broad authority to expend public funds unilaterally with no other approval or oversight? Sounds like they need broad reforms and much tighter policies to be put into place.

It’s egregious what she’s getting away with but it doesn’t even come close to what Rita Crundwell embezzled from Dixon IL which was an amount exceeding $50 Million.

Other than one community being suburban/urban and run by a Democrat and the other being rural and run by a Republican.

I suppose it does show that corruption in Illinois is common among both political parties and from downstate to Chicago.
