Anyone looking for a new Escalade?

Anyone who would pay that kind of money for a GM product is out of their ever-loving mind.

I have a coworker who owns a Cadillac Escalade with about 80,000 miles on it and the car is basically committing suicide. Software crap, and the dealers can't fix it. "Buy a new one" is what they're telling him to do. Freaking ridiculous.

Welcome to 2025 new car buying.

Most manufacturers have decided they'd much rather sell (as an example) one $170k Escalade rather than two $85k ones because they make more money on the $170k one that the two less expensive ones.

That's why you can't go to your local Chevy/Ram/Ford dealer and buy yourself a $30,000 Silverado any more. Cheap volume ain't making you much if any money. But load down your average Silverado to come in around $60,000 at the very least, now you're talking because you make a helluva lot more money with that than making 5 old school entry level "work truck" ones.

Odds are that Escalade will be sold this weekend. There is someone out there who thinks a $171k Cadillac is a nice conversation piece.

Neighbor has an Escalade that cost well over $120k. Crazy to spend that much money on a new vehicle. I’ve got the same version in the Tahoe but about $35k less.
