Are all these doorbell cameras really working to lower some crimes?

I see the FBI data is out and it shows decreases in most violent crimes like murder, rape, etc. but retail shopliftning shit is up somewhat. Can all of these cameras be helping, or is something else afoot?
I have cameras at both houses and all shops and buildings but have never thoght they captured much activity out here in the rural areas.

Would be nice to capture an image of Bigfoot after all these years.

Six Million Dollar Man got him, brah.

I doubt the number of cameras going up has as much of an impact as the continued rise in the standard of living.

I mowed my buddy's yard when they were out of town and did it to be nice and wasn't going to tell them, but alas I was ratted out by their neighbor as I showed up on their ring cam. Buddy asked neighbor when they got home if he saw who mowed his yard and the neighbor didn't know but checked his ring cam and I was had.

I've seen numerous stories where police are gaining access to private ring cam footage to track criminal activity...
