For people who will vote Democrat regardless of who the nominee is. Is there any doubt in your mind that Hillary will be the choice? It seems more Democrats are considering a run now, which to me says somebody must be worried all this stuff is going to catch up to her. What say you HROT?

Republicans...Please refrain from turning this into another bash Hillary thread. We've got plenty of those.

I was never convinced she was going to be the candidate and I am not worried. I'm not convinced that Bernie can win, but it's a long time until that matters. I need to see if he is going to be able to successfully deflect and discredit the smear campaign that's headed his way. Then again, if Trump is the GOP candidate I think even Al Gore could win. I do wish the Democrats could find somebody younger though.

I never could figure out how the libs thought she was a viable candidate to begin with, she had one successful run for an elected position and she was terrible as secretary of state.

No surprise here.

As a democrat, I HOPE she's not the choice. I'll back Sanders but who knows if he can deliver everything he talks about. If the GOP nominates Kasich, I'd consider voting for him.

I switched 10 degrees to the left just in time for this thread! As such, being an independent with now a slight left lean, I am not worried. I would actually prefer Hillary not be the choice. She is too imbedded within the Banks for my taste.

I have voted Democrat in every election since 1992, but I don't know if I can vote for Hillary. I hope Sanders can pull off what Obama did in 2008. The only R candidate that guarantees I vote for Hillary is Walker. I do NOT want that guy as POTUS.

You'd vote for Trump over Hillary?

Good grief I can't believe there are this many people excited to vote for an admitted socialist. I shouldn't be surprised but I still am.
At least from now on when loyal Dem posters are accused of being socialists they won't be able to deny it any longer.
And to the genius considering either Sanders or Kasich, really? They couldn't be much more different.

I might vote 3rd party. I don't trust Hillary Clinton any further than I can throw her. I think she is a scumbag. The thing with Trump, if he is POTUS, my life won't really change. I highly doubt he would get anything done because the ENTIRE establishment Congress would make sure he couldn't accomplish anything. I think it would be quite comical watching him go off for 4 years. Having said that, my life wouldn't change under Hillary either. I just trust her like I trust Dick Cheney.

Unless the GOP makes a colossal mistake they will win the White House back no matter who the Democrats run against them. I'm not even sure they can make a mistake that will prevent it. The GOP will control all 3 houses in 2016.

You need to get out of the echo chamber and take a non-partisan look at polling. Or not. I really don't care.

As a Democrat I thing I'm taking a pretty non-partisan look at the direction this is headed. The Democrats just don't have an electable candidate in the race. I like some of what Sanders brings to the table but he won't stand a chance in the general election. Hillary is damaged goods. I've said before the best Democrat that could enter the race is actually a Republican, Jon Huntsman.

I disagree. The electoral college is a very different animal than an off-year congressional election.

That and my sportsbook has any democrat favored over any republican by about 65-35 percentage likelihood. So you could make some money if you're right.

No candidate who is over 66 years old will win their
party's nomination for President. No candidate who
is an established politician from the U.S. Senate will
win. Look for a young governor.

Thanks all for the responses and thoughts, I was just curious since it seems all the talk is now about others entering. I tend to agree with those who believe Sanders would have a hard time in a general election, but I think he stepped in at the right time when many were looking to jump from the Hillary ship.

I don't actually believe there are that many "swing" votes, and the country is divided such that the general election is bound to be within 10% in the popular vote. So whether it's Hillary or Sanders, over 95% of D's will jump on board. I was just curious to know what the general feeling was regarding confidence in Hillary. Personally, I'd like to see a Democrat who isn't a career politician join the race.

I would be willing to bet anyone any amount of money that Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the United States.

According to fivethirtyeight the Electoral Collage favors the Democrats. So broadly speaking the election it appears to be Clinton's to lose...

Well with your bad knee Tom, you shouldn't throw anybody.
