As a member of the B1G, Iowa will get gazillions under new TV deal. Any chance that the new AD reinstates sports that Barta eliminated?

No. Nor should they be.
Why not?

The B1G is adding a school that is a powerhouse in swimming (USC) and bringing in 4 schools with tennis making the B1G much more competitive.

Barta's reason for dropping the teams was Covid drop in revenue. Given the drop was less than expected, the new media deal, and the fact that at least some of the teams had raised enough money to be self sustaining (at least in the short term to start) there should be no legitimate reason not to bring them back.

What percentage of fans truly miss these sports? The athletes families. Who else? Resources can be better used put into existing programs.

Don’t expect any sports to be added. The dept is not in a good place financially thanks to our recently retired AD.

The AD is not in ideal financial condition, that part is true. It's not bad financial condition, just not ideal. GB didn't cause all, or even most of this.

Managing finances is not something you can blame Barta for. I suppose you're referring to lawsuit payments? I'd have paid 60 mil to see Jane Meyer shown the door. 6 mil was a bargain.

He did. Thru a variety of decisions. The part he didn’t was Covid.

Lawsuit was only a small piece.
