Did you miss the part about that being England now? The UK has severely cut their cases down, so it's far less likely that you would contract COVID there.

He is also leaving out the long term health effects that COVID has had on people.

Correct, because Boris Johnson also denied, delayed and downplayed the seriousness until he himself almost died from it. Then they instituted mandates and NOW living in the UK is much safer.
