Big surprise happens when George bush lies and goes to war like a cowboy idiot and then here we all are later trying to blame anybody else!! Wake up I know Obama is a terrible president but so was the liar bush and we keep having that because of stupid war!!
ok, that explains what happened a decade ago, what explains the state of affairs now in 2015 under Obama?
Obama overthrew the power structure in Egypt and Libya and totally screwed up Iraq and Syria, under his watch, with his muslim brotherhood arab spring crap, and he was caught gun running in Benghazi. and he wishes for iran to have a nuke to bomb us.
If Iraqis won't fight for their freedom, why should we fight for their freedom? It's not worth any of our soldiers' lives.
Actually it doesn't explain what happened a decade ago. Bush didn't lie, and no rational person with any intellectual honesty can say he did with any level of facts to support it. Bush made a decision on what turned out to be extremely faulty and inaccurate intelligence information. Information by the way that France, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, China and Russia also said was accurate. We also now know as a result of the conflict in Syria, that a portion of those WMDs had been moved to that country.
The only way that Bush could have lied is if he had controlled and successfully manipulated the intelligence wings of China, Russia, Israel and France, which are hardly countries that have completely supported our foreign policy over the years. That sounds like a tall order for someone that the "Bush Lied" crowd also claims was the least intelligent person to ever reside in the White House.
If I had the same information in front of me that Bush did, and had the same opinions expressed to me from the world-wide intelligence community, I would have made the same decision.
Oh come on! You know that the entire Middle East has imploded and then some since President Bush left office. As I remember it, President Bush left behind a situation that required some level of presence in Iraq, and a firm thumb on their leadership, but that was stable and well on it's way to becoming peaceful and in a non-Islamic way. They were going to require another 20 years or so of guidance, but so what? We knew that going in.
And then along comes the real cowboy ... a lone-wolf cowboy community-organizer turned diplomat, who simply repudiated 70 years of Western diplomatic history, strategy, and thinking. Additionally, this bozo so hated whites, Republicans, and American exceptionalism that his decision making followed a very simple format: Figure out what President Bush would have done (or had already done) and do the exact opposite.

BS to those claiming it was faulty intelligence that led us into the war. If magazines like Newsweek could have prewar articles describing how intelligence agencies around the world were shocked at what the Bush administration was pushing as facts, then the intelligence would have to be fairly well known for those paying attention. The sheep like Hillary Clinton who went along with the war should also be ashamed of themselves.

Retraining and reconstituting the Iraqi army is a struggle, too bad the one they had was disbanded. At least that allowed ISIS to form and give the new army somebody to fight.

Holy shyte!! The US thinking it could run other countries is what got us into this mess in the first place. And Iraq was NEVER "stable and well on its way to becoming peaceful and in a non-Islamic way". That story begins, "Once upon a time...".
After WW2 we kept a heavy presence in Germany and Japan (but not Italy). Germany and Japan turned out okay and Italy just muddles along.
After the Koren war we stayed in south korea and they turned out okay.
After Vietnam we left and then you had the killing fields.
It's not a fun fact, but if we **** up your country, it's better if we stick around to make sure you don't have another "killing field".

BTW, the killing fields were in Cambodia...we weren't at war with them.

I do not have that job yet and when I do we will see who is laughing when we are at the bank cashing our pay checks!!! Plus I do not call it telemarketing when the customers have said they want to work with us and buy our stuff. It will sell itself if I do it from everything I seen about them.
They haven't gotten tired of killing each other, yet. When that happens there is a chance of peace. The carnage in Iraq and Syria. The rise of the power of Iran. It all stems from the lies perpetrated by George Bush, Dick Cheney, and the rest of that crowd to get America and a few allies to invade Iraq.
