this year 90% of us would take 21 wins, 12 Big 10 wins, and a 8 or 9 seed. In spite of average shooting at best and poor finishing at the hoop from our centers and so so guard play, here we are. This is not the best Iowa team in recent years but it is!
We expected to lose to tOSU once, N Carolina, Maryland and at Indiana. We did not expect to lose today, Minny, NW, or UNI (in my mind). At end of the day we had a very nice bounce back from last year's collapse. Win in the 8/9 game and let's just build. I clearly remember wishing for a Tom Davis like year when Lick was getting his ass kicked in Williams Arena by 35 against a NIT team.
Hat's off. Let's get em and see how we do against a 1 seed.
