Things we DON'T see when a teacher is found to have abused a student: Other teachers witnessing the misconduct and failing to report it, or even backing the abusive teacher. The school district backing the abusive teacher. The teachers' union backing the teacher, beyond making sure that due process and procedure is followed. The abusive teacher being hired in another school district.
