At least the NCAA tourney won't be officiated like that first half was

I just posted in another thread that Illinois is in trouble in the NCAA. They will get a crew that will call them for all their fouling, traveling, and 3 seconds in the lane.
I don't think they intentionally favored the Illini in the first half. They just let a football game transpire which is not what we excel with.
Agree 100%, but most of the bad calls they did make also went against us.
i still don’t know how cockburn didn’t get one 3 second call. In game thread said he might as well pitch a tent for how long he’s camping in there. Around 12 min mark he got a basket. Rewinded during tv timeout he went into the lane at 18 sec and not one foot left the paint until he made the shot with 10 sec. this happened multiple times. I get it sometimes lot of guys are in for 4-5 seconds and no call it’s common. but he was doing for 5 seconds + all day. unbelievable
It was piss poor on many levels, but I'm not even surprised or mad anymore. I firmly believe the rough crowd of the B1G will be put in their place soon enough. Sucks to say as I want the league to do well typically, but the BS needs to stop.
The B10 is going to have to do something about their officiating, because all it's doing is hurting the teams in the conference when it comes time for the NCAA tournament. Games in the big dance are officiated much differently than what the teams become used to over the course of a conference season.
