Anyone read the opposing coach’s opinion of Iowa in Athlons magazine recently? To summarize, Iowa is one of the best programs out there. Does more with less. Goes head to head with blue bloods. But due to letting Doyle go, is this the beginning of the end? A lot of concerns with Iowa falling back after strength program slips.
I have voiced my concerns on here before. I have heard from former and current players, as well as, a coach I have a connection with. They claim that things have slipped a bit. It makes sense that if you can not use that blue collar, tough, and nonsense approach in the weight room that things would slip. I would gladly eat crow if I am wrong. Think it will show in 2022 and beyond.
