Attorney General Brenna Bird joins anti-Biden lawsuits on first day

Brenna will soon have Iowans forgetting about the incompetence of former Iowa AG Richard Turner. Iowa voters absolutely "cut off their noses to spite their faces" on this one last November. She will end up embarrassing most of us before this is done. She was overmatched as a part-time County Atty in rural western Iowa.
There might actually come a point where Dim Kim will have to muzzle her.

I told your guys she is not smart. I went against her one time and I was thinking she is dumb as bird that flys into my sliding glass door.

She is incompetent. She will likely get dinged by Bar Association if she doesn't realize that she is not Kim's personal attorney.

I tend to agree it was time for Miller to go. But if Bird is the best the GOP can put up to replace him, then I guess the Federalist society has failed in Iowa. I can get having different views on things. But Bird is an absolute moron

And if it were free for at least a 2 year degree, which is pretty much the bare minimum (Or some type of trade school) then it wouldn't be such a losing proposition.

if a kid specializes it more or less locks them into a field. At a young age few know what they want their life path will be. A blanket degree, like a BA or BS then does make sense.

Maybe society has the cycles wrong. Maybe we should find out what we want to do before we dedicate our lives training for it.

Iowa farmers are among the biggest handout grabbers on the planet.

They grab but they were handed. Bitch about the handers first. What iratest me about the farmers is they are among the most vocal bitchers about welfare. Especially food stamps. Ironic.

If this is our path, ok, but I’d also like to see her sue for handouts to: small businesses/fraud (PPP), ag handouts, oil handouts, and many others.

If this is the path, then it should be socialism for no one….not just socialism for a chosen few.
Difference being that PPP was passed by a bipartisan vote in congress.

Student loan forgiveness didn't go through congress....and spending bills are supposed to...

Executive over reach in my opinion and unconstitutional.

Miller previously was a law professor at the University of Maryland and the longest serving AG in the Unites States. Bird is a piss ant county attorney. Like Iowa politics in general it demonstrates the deterioration in quality of people elected to office in the state.

absolutely. With the amount of money that Republicans happily give away to the wealthiest I get really annoyed when they get outraged when it goes to some middle-lower class person.

socialism is a buzzword for the mentally challenged right wing. The entire world functions on the principle of socialism.

People who don't know what Socialism is or how it works like to throw it around. Funny thing is, in most of the industrialized world, AOC/Bernie would be considered Center Left. People in the US has little clue what "Liberalism" or "Socialism" actually look like.

This isn't how hiring works in the least. Most jobs just require a "degree". While many find that idea stupid, it shows employers you have a more diverse range of educational background and were committed enough to finish this. Some jobs do require more specialized degrees or training, but for many jobs simply having a degree is the HR checkbox. Does that make sense? No, but it's how the world works.

Society has lots of cycles wrong in regards to how American economy and business works, but we have to work with what we have. To truly get ahead you either need "connections" from wealthy/connected parents, specialized training, or a degree. The days of joining a company out of high school and working yourself up within that company for 30 years are long gone. Again, I wish it wasn't. I prefer that method of loyalty to one another, but businesses long ago stopped being loyal to internal employees and employees have responded with the same. So now, the degree is the new high school diploma.

I really don't get why so many states are fighting the government on loan forgiveness. Is it because they truly do hate education that much? Or is it just because they know most of their base are uneducated loons and they are mad that the money doesn't help their simpletons instead?
You don't understand why people would be opposed to the federal government giving tax dollars to rich graduate students who voluntarily agreed to BORROW tax payer dollars and agreed to repay them? Ya, you got me, that's a real head scratcher. Especially when those same taxpayers aren't having their car loans or medical bills or mortgages paid.

You lost me at “rich grad students”.

We go from a pretty decent, intelligent, and un-biased attorney general to a ultra-biased, fascist, corrupt, and brain dead attorney general. Only if you are really stupid, or really corrupt, or in the case of our governor, both, is this a win.

A law professor who has argued cases before the Supreme Court to a rinky dink county attorney. Worth a typical grade school abby giggle.

Can one obtain a law degree from a correspondence course? I can't believe that stupid lady has a law degree from a legitimate law school. Or, for that matter, it's hard to believe she has a bachelor's degree.
