Which is the problem. This is one of the professions where you CANT HAVE IDIOTS.

Imagine if we allowed “just a few” idiots who couldn’t do their job correctly to be airline pilots or nuclear plant workers!

Which is going to be even a bigger problem with everything that is going on. They have to fill open positions and if all you have is unqualified candidates, good luck!!

I get that. I know Davenport is really struggling to find quality candidates, especially minority candidates.

Definitely a tough, often thankless job!

To be fair whoever was tweeting seems to claim they were held at "gunpoint". But I don't see any guns drawn.



Don't they have information in their database which indicates both state and the type of vehicle stolen. Before they pull an entire family out of a mini-van and order them on the ground.

2 of my kids have autism if the cops did this to us it would not go very well and I'm afraid of what might happen. My 7 year old and my 4 year old simply would not stay on the ground. My 5 year old might. But since we are white it's unlikely I'd be terrified if we were black.

And that is not to mention all the shit that we would have to deal with afterwards. They would probably be sleeping in our room for months.

Probably not but if my license plate falsely came up as a stolen vehicle I imagine that the situation would still be bad. Although it occurs to me why the cops didn't just look for the vehicles registration in the glove box.
