Yea I know it's early but Blythe was a strong leader and excellent Center at Iowa. He should have been drafted higher than the 7th round for eff's sake! We are seeing a rapid ascension for Austin here in year 3. He is a an athletic beast out there and its starting to show. Hope he has a long healthy career as a starter!

Which team?

[NFL draft pundits] His 40 is .0005 too slow. Also, his vertical is a quarter inch under where it should be. And the big toe on his right foot is crooked. He’s a marginal prospect. Discipline, commitment, intelligence and intangibles mean nothing in this league. [/NFL draft pundits]

I always thought Blythe was NFL material and was amazed he went 7th round, and was initially cut.

Our inside line play was always solid with him in there.

Austin is another example where NFL pundits can measure everything except a prospect's heart. Austin's heart is what pushes him above the judgement of the so called experts. Austin, you have earned, every step of the journey, your rightful place as a starter in the NFL and we are extremely proud of you.

And a wrestling background always bodes well for linemen.

Hard to believe that Colts team I watch last night Cut Austin.

Colts management hasn’t made wise decisions regarding player evaluations the last four or five years. It seems once Dungi and Caldwell left, the decision making went to crap regarding draft selections, free agency pick ups and player cuts.

They could do no wrong in these areas when they had a certain qb and db leading the team. Um, cough, cough, Peyton, Bob.
