Awesome Performance, Hawks

PSU fan here, who had much concern going into game last night, and obviously for good reason! I was tremendously impressed by the Hawks, and based on what I saw last night, expect you to get to Indy (hopefully for a rematch with PSU). A few random thoughts:
-Josey Jewell is a beast...one of the better individual defensive performances I've seen against PSU in a long time
-AJ Epenesa is already scary good, and going to be a monster in next few years
-I like your QB, and considering he's only a true sophomore, bodes well for your future
-While giving up 579 yards of offense, still think your D played lights out. Defensive game plan was strong, in essesntially eliminating PSU ability for home run plays.
-Wadley is a stud, and as well as PSU bottled him up for 3 quarters, I knew he'd eventually make some plays
-Atmosphere at Kinnick was lit last night...great college football environment

Leading up to this game I just had a weird feeling. Wasn't satisfied with how PSU played against Pitt and I just didn't know what to expect playing Iowa at their home. I'm rooting for Iowa (which I always do) the rest of the season. Iowa's defense was tough really laid the wood and that game was an instant classic. Iowa came up big all game long. Respect.

PSU is scary good. It's nice to think the Hawks were a few inches away from a W. Barkley is the best rb I've ever seen, the QB is very good, and the defense is unreal. I'd be shocked not to see the win the B1G and go to the playoff.

Barkley should be wearing a cape. That dude is superman. Fun as hell to watch from a football perspective, annoying as hell from an opposing fan perspective. He was a one man wrecking machine. Sigh...missed it by that much.

It was a good entertaining game all around. I love the Hawkeye fan base because unlike certain fanbases( Kentucky Wildcats) when a good game ends there is mostly good sportsmanship shown when the opposition comes in peace.

Really? I came away very unimpressed w P St. I think that game was more of both teams being worse than we thought than it was a case of both teams being better than we thought.

There's been a fair amount of obnoxious posters here, but I suspect many are probably Pitt fans creating Hawkeye logins and trolling based on the level of vitriol.
