B10 officiating vs NCAA tourney officiating

I'm under the impression that generally more fouls are called I'm the NCAA tourney than B10 Comference games.

A)Do you think this true an B) if so---wouldn't this benefit is as we're very good at getting to the line and also pretty disciplined on D?

A) not sure this website's conference data is old

b) yes - it looks like Davidson fouls much more than IA

Generally B1G teams are used to a more physical style of play than other conferences and when we get to the NCAA tourney B1G teams can't adjust to the more finesse style of play the refs demand.

Big Ten Officials go into conference games wiith pre-conceived biases Be it a player or a coach these biases can and often times do affect the outcomes of games. They can say it isn't there but the calls they make or don't make depending on the players or coaches is very apparent. Now don't take this as these biases are only working against Iowa. I am not saying that at all. In some cases they work to our advantage.

Tournament officials often won't have the level of familiarity with the players and or coaches that will allow such biases to develop. It doesn't surprise me at all when Big Ten Crews don't work the Final Four or high level bowl games. They simply aren't good enough.

The Big Ten was represented in the Final Four last year and the year before.

The B1G is not officiated any different. Do you really think when someone is officiating at Iowa one night and Kentucky the next that all of a sudden his thought process changes from one place to another? I mean come on really.

If you really broke down how many opportunities an official has a chance to make a call or not make a call - I think fans would be amazed at how accurate these guys really are.
