B10 Restart Update (Wed)...confirmed source in this thread...

It's not about dying, you idiots, it's about contracting long-term health problems with such things as the heart and lungs. Experts know there are long-term impacts, but because this is a new virus that is FAR more dangerous than the flu, even they can't say for sure what people's health will be like five, ten, or twenty years down the road. Thus, people with common sense don't want football players, or anyone else, to get COVID-19 and find out.

But all you brave fans guzzling beer on your couches don't mind a bit what might happen to these kids someday.
Well, you're just like your cult leader--you bravely tell everyone else what to do while you are perfectly safe.

BTW: 61 of 67 college conferences are NOT playing football this fall. That's over 90 percent. The Big Ten is only one of those 61. The Pac 12 is another. So is the MAC.

Only six stupid conferences are playing and putting young people's lives in danger by doing so. Not because they might die, but because they might suffer significant long-term health issues.
Oh horseshit.

If you actually gave a **** about "long-term health problems" like you claim to, you'd be telling people not to play football ever again. But you and your ilk gobble up so much fear-mongering bullshit that you can't step outside without quaking in your boots.

Stopping sports or even society as a whole to essentially wait and see what the health impacts are 20, 10, or even 5 years down the road is asinine. If we did that for every new problem society faces we'd still be riding horses to work.

We deal with far greater risk than COVID every day of our lives. Don't drag everyone else down just because the newest one paralyzes weak-minded people like yourself with fear.

So it appears you are advocating shutting sports down for another 5-10-20 years.

Yes, how many more have died from suicide as a result of this fear-mongering.

Suicides up 42% in that age group compared to 1 year ago. But COVID is the only thing that matters in life, we must all lock ourselves in our houses until the benevolent government tells us it's okay to go outside again.

Yep, we already know there are significant long term impacts from a virus that has been around for months, not years.... Got it.

Just like 20 years ago Gore saying Polar Ice caps would all be ice free and now we are there and they aren't but now it is just 20 more years away, just you wait and see. I am still waiting on some clever scientist to tell me why the climate today, in the 4.5 billion year history of Earth is the absolute optimal climate and we should somehow freeze it as it is (even though we have no way to do that).

Sports are loathesome masculine cave-man type endeavors and in no way contribute to society like the arts do. Just ask him.

Like theNFL?

Lol there's literally grass showing in Antarctica and had it's hottest temperature on record earlier this year, but yeah let's now go down the path of "Climate Change isn't real" too while we're at it.

NU President says this. Well, at least we have a real source with confirmed audio! Gotta give Nebraska some credit here, they have been fighting with Iowa since the cancel announcement and have been pushing hard.

I truly don’t know- who get the vote- the UNL lead guy or the UN system guy. Green and Carter have very different roles

You call us idiots when YOU are the biggest idiotic snowflake on the planet.

Of course climate change is real...in fact...the climate has always been changing and has never been static. At times, the planet had virtually no permanent ice...at others, it was snowball earth. Man, on the other hand, has very little impact on climate and its progression...which is the real question at hand. Some things are still simply too massive and too long term for us to serious impact.
