Don’t know why anyone would be surprised by Iowa underperforming. It’s March. It’s tourney time. Just like freaking clock work...
Hey...everybody was worried about Sorensen and he widened the gap...He won't beat Zain but at least he looks like he's been here before.
Yeah, with a few exceptions (normally Kemerer) Iowa and offense are antonyms these days.
I'm thinking the fact he will finish higher in the conference tournament will come into play.
So we're going to have one finalist, Sorensen, against Zain. Awesome.
Are we deliberately trying to keep Fosu in this tournament? Unbelievable.
Unless we get Big Sam to pull something unexpected off. Chip and a chance...........
Pretty much sums it up. You get tentative and bad things usually happen.
Was really proud of Brandon. It was probably tempting to shut it down against Deakin but he poured it on and put him away. Great match. Pretty much the opposite of Michael's match. And he had a fantastic shot at his first Big Ten title with Nolf out of the tournament. Makes it especially bitter.
It is absolutely a pattern. You’d think after 8 years TNT wound do some tweaking, but it’s the same BS every single year.
They have fallen so far behind, i dont know if the can catch up without a dramatic shift in the program

For starters, Iowa HS wrestling needs to improve. When Brands, Teske and Thompsen are the best we're putting out, we're not helping the college recruiting. The only native Iowan stud on our roster is Sorensen.
Many of the past great Iowa programs like Eagle Grove, Osage, Lewis Central and Clear Lake are a shell of their former selves. We're not routinely putting out the Schawb, Ironside, T&T Brands, Whitmer type talent we used to. We should be able to depend on 3-4 homegrown studs in this lineup ever year.

Nice win for Gunther. Had a couple nice takedowns.
^^^^^He's not wrong you know. The lack of contending of this program is closely related to the downfall of the wrestling in this state.
