Watched the late night PAC-12 games, and wow, is that a really bad conference. USC is an upper-tier team and they looked mediocre, at best. Oregon, the team with the highest expectations, relies on one single player who is 6’2 and can’t drive to the rim. There should absolutely not be three 5-seeded Pac-12 teams while Iowa rests at a 6.

Looking at the whole field, this conference is currently being criminally under-seeded while the Big East & Pac-12 teams are way overvalued.

I've been saying for a while now that I expect the Big 10 to over perform in the tournament...

It depends. There are a bunch of Big 10 teams that could end up in the 7-10 world, where you are facing a good first round opponent and either a 1 or 2 seed after that. I wouldn't be shocked if zero Big 10 teams made it to the Sweet 16 (surprised, but not shocked), nor would I be shocked if 5 Big 10 teams made it to the second weekend. The league has a lot of good teams, probably no great ones.

I'm cautiously optimistic that this will play out in the
Big Dance, this year also.

Who should any Big10 team fear, after running the gauntlet of the
Big10 schedule this season?? Maybe Kansas ?? idk

Didn't the B1G do well in the first couple of rounds last year, and even most prior years? This year might be similar with lots of teams capable of making it to the Sweet 16, although about half will be seeded low enough to make it more difficult. I don't see any teams that are almost unbeatable this year.

That's the whole issue with being under-seeded. It makes it more difficult for the teams being under-seeded to win that 2nd game, as the NCAA has them matched up with tougher competition.

It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Of course a team on the 8/9 line doesn't make it to the sweet 16, they play the damn #1 seed in the 2nd round.

If we are going to be under-seeded, I'd rather be at 12 or 13 (which won't happen). Then you play a 5/4 the first 2 games.

Hopefully we finish well and can get a 6 seed or better. 7-10 seed sucks for trying to break through to the 2nd weekend.
