B1G news.. Hayes (OSU) out for year -

The wrestling media always does a poor job with these stories. Why is he out? Disciplinary, academics, injury?

I would think it's injury. Makes the sense on why they don't report on it because wrestling coaches usually aren't too forward with injury news. At least Tom isn't and maybe I just think how he handles injuries is how most coaches do.
So as if everybody didn't already know other wrestling forums suck. I went on Bucknuts (yep that's the name) and saw almost nothing on Keshawn Hayes. As of yesterday they were posting Keshawn as a starter vs Missouri. Then it was posted out 4-6 weeks, then one person posted out for the season and asked whether Hayes would qualify for a medical redshirt.

Bucknuts is not a top tOSU site for any sport. Bucknuts was begat from a split from Scout after some kind of in-fighting. Bucknuts doesnt really have a good rep. They tend to steal insider information from the other tOSU sites (Rivals, Scout) and re-post it as original content.
The Bucknuts wrestling forum only has a handful of us guys posting... mostly passing information we all already knew.
Rivals doesnt have a dedicated tOSU wrestling forum. I have begged the mods to create one, but to no avail. I post information in the paywall football forum and the threads get pretty long. But, unless you pay for tOSU football insider forum, you wouldnt have open access to that.

That forum is real-name only and a lot of those-in-the-know for all of Ohio wrestling, but really focuses on tOSU. If you can get past the 1990s web design, its got really solid information.
HR and the PSU rivals site are the best wrestling forums, by far. Probably why so many of us tOSU fans come here to read good information.
Obviously not Dar but from what I know and seen can't really find anything out on it I know his eye was completely shut from a hit in practice and he had to go to the ER but I can't remember if that was before or after the tri dual with CSU and KSU. This is definitely gonna hurt title chances but it's not at all as big of a hit as some on other boards have made it seem. I recall my dad going down to Robbie Wallers camp in PA and telling me Pletcher looked like he weighed about 160 and someone on themat confirmed his walk around weight isn't too far off from Ke-shawns. We shall see how things go

Pletcher was really good in HS, but since he is a true 133 I think he will really struggle at 41.
This hurts Bucky quite a bit although I don't think Hayes was going to score a ton of points at NCAA's.. their margin of error just got that much smaller.

Ohio Wrestling Forum is a great site. However, it's not cesspoolly enough for me, so I stay away.
Completely shut from a hit in practice?! Isn't it some kind of violation to practice with Downey?
Except there is no crowd. Okie State needs a different venue, similar to West Gym, so there's not a near empty coliseum.
Ohiowrestling is worth perusing if only to read Rex Holman's posts. He doesn't post much, but he doesn't waste a post.
Lots of insiders on there who have good recruiting scoop, but not a ton of activity.
