I don't know if I'm convinced that last years KenProm ranking are the true measure of this years teams. We'll know more
about this as the year goes on. In the meantime let's win the games on our schedule.

Iowa needs to figure out how to not schedule teams that are 300+ RPI/Kenpom ranked teams. Schedule would be fine if it didn't have Chicago State and Southern Utah. Nothing is gained playing those teams.

If you beat the biggies on the sched (good wins) and don't lose the gimmes (bad losses) everything works out.

I wish it wasn't a cake walk, but it is what it is and can't be turned back.

I don't know what the other teams schedules look like but I think our non conference schedule is pretty tough. I think that with the B10 schedule added we just need to get enough wins and finish in the top half of the conference to get into the tournament.

I'll reiterate. It's what the talking heads always highlight. Good wins, bad losses. Couple it with overall record and there you have it.

Always much analyzing of the schedule. I agree with those that say it's still a matter of who you beat.

Beat Cincy, ISU, and Va Tech and no one will care. Sure last year's schedule wasn't great, but win against Memphis or Seton Hall and we might be on the right side of the bubble.
Get the Utah Valleys, Mississippi A&Ts, and the Pella School for the Blind off the schedule and maybe you only have to win one of those games instead of all three.

Yep, those are bad wins. If the NCAA is going to use RPI, might as well play the scheduling game.

Pella School for the Blind? I just don't see that being a good game.

Why can't we manage to schedule teams that are ranked between 125-249? Seems like we should be able to have mostly the same type of team come through Iowa City with out to much problem. Then throw in a couple of marquee match ups.

Let's revisit that later and see how we compare to other Big Ten teams. I've always thought half the problem is teams 125-249 are the expensive hookers and can be picky about who they play.
