B1G seeding probabilities

We’ve all seen the scenario simulator but one of the folks over at BT Powerhouse did a probability spreadsheet using KenPom.

Basically it comes down to the Maryland game assuming chalk holds elsewhere. Gonna be tough to break through to the top 4. The good news is we’re locked out of Wednesday (not that that was really a concern).

Thanks for posting this. I still believe Iowa has a reasonable (20%) chance to get the 4 seed. Wisc hosts MSU this week and I feel like Iowa will have a good chance of getting revenge at the Kohl Center.

The odds of us taking care of all of the easily winnable games (where we're favored) is low, but if we do win those games, the game at Wisconsin is essentially for the 4 seed. A tall task based on metrics, but we seem to play them close regardless of venue.

The tricky part about it is Wisconsin’s remaining schedule is not overly difficult, about equal to Iowa’s, but Iowa’s margin of error is obviously smaller.
