First off let me say that Band of Brothers is the best thing that has ever been put on television. Unless I force myself off the couch, I'll watch the whole thing. But my question is, why is it being shown on Labor Day? I completely understand why it gets shown on Memorial Day, but Labor Day has nothing to do with veterans or the military. Wouldn't an Office Space marathon be more appropriate? Maybe showing the same movie for 10 hours is a bit much, so Office Space, 9 to 5, Working Girl, Horrible Bosses, and stuff like that? What are some other good options?

Not sure how much it costs to buy the rights. But AMC has to have them discounted for BoB by now.

Maybe like TNT & Shawkshank

I would think F.I.S.T. and Norma Rae would be better choices for Labor Day.

But hey, we need to make everything about vets then complain they aren't getting enough recognition.

Best miniseries ever. AINEC

Silver - Lonesome Dove
Bronze - Roots
Odd thread bump I know, but I remember this thread, and the mention of Lonesome Dove also mentioned in the Horizon Saga thread.

Saw the series it was on Amazon and started it. Not sure so far its "great", but that snake scene in the river gave me nightmares
