What I'm hearing was a collision with outfielder, facial injuries that might require surgery..

Boe collided with Adreon in the 7th inning. I just rewatched it, it wasn’t as brutal as I had thought the first time. Adreon had stopped running when Boe ran into him. Still a pretty big collision.

Out of respect for the players and the program, I won't go into detail.

Long story short: Don't look for Boe anytime soon. (Ts&Ps level)
Adreon likely will need a few days, but should be okay.

Bummer big loss

From a team standpoint, they do have depth. Sher has been coming on at 3rd and I believe his natural position is short/second, so he could go there and Heller could put Sosa or Elion at third and have competent players everywhere. But wow, for the player Boe has kind of epitomized what Iowa baseball is all about. He's invested a lot and been a tremendous Hawkeye. Feel awful for him.

imagine how painful facial fractures must be; yikes! hope he didn't get any teeth knocked out.
