Basis seedings....

I guess if I was laying odds: Minny most likely, (which living in MN, just grinds me, bleech), then MD and Purdue about tied for next most likely.

I do think it was BS, for committee to put KU and ISU, in same bracket for a possible Sweet 16 game.

Arguably two best teams in conference should have been split to different brackets.

I can't see Purdue choking early. They should make the Sweet 16 or Elite 8. Michigan and Northwestern will surprise as well I think. The Cats could knock of the Zags who haven't faced much competition outside the WCC.

Actually, I think the Big 10 team most likely to lose their first game is Minnesota.

Matchups don't look good for any of them to make sweet 16.
Minny maybe has the best path.

Will ANY B1G teams make it to Sweet 16?

I thought Wisconsin had a chance again like last year when knocked off Xavier especially with senior laden team. However on the assumption they'd get 6-7 seed until I saw how they got hosed with 8 seed. Now not so much. Purdue think has best chance they are a bad matchup for clones if they face one another barring an upset. Think Maryland can and michigan playing so well could beat Louisville but have tough first rd game with Oklahoma St.

If Northwestern plays the Zags, then the Cats will lose. The Zags have a guard named Nigel Williams-Goss who is phenominal. He is a scorer, bigtime. Joined by Collins, Karnowski, Melson and others. They haven't been tested outside of their conference, but Mark Few is one of the best coaches in the country. I wouldn't write them off yet.

I don't think Zags will necessarily lose but I think NW has the potential to surprise. Remember Zags lost to Wichita St in 2013 as a 2 seed. This Zags team is probably the best yet and they beat FL and AZ in the non-conference. However, NW is going to be hungry in their first tourney ever and I expect them to play well.

Really? Never seen a Painter coached team play in the tourney have ya

I think Purdue is a team solidly built for a NCAA tournament. I have them winning it all over Gonzaga. Good guard play with a dominate big man that can be a go to scorer and make his free throws in Swanigan. Plus they can hit their 3's.

Here's what is going to happen, Purdue's guards won't show up and will have a poor shooting night, Painter coaches the NCAA tournament like Fran does the B10 tournament, Swanigan will put up something like a 22/17 that will go for naught as Vermont finishes the game on a 12-2 run to seal the upset.

I think the B1G was underseeded a little, and that gives them more difficult match ups, especially Wisconsin.

I think Minnesota has the best shot at the sweet 16 followed by Maryland. Northwestern is in a funk and won't make it out of the first round. As someone else said, the Purdue guards won't show up in one of the first two games and will lose. Wisky got screwed with seeding. Michigan got a terrible matchup but it should be a fun game to watch. Okie St. is first in offensive efficiency. Mich St. just plain sucks this year.
