I see a lot of panicking on here and Twitter about Iowa's performance. Let's get a couple of facts straight before you go blaming Fran and the team.
First, ISU played incredible defense. Best I remember and better than Virginia's scheme. If you don't recognize this, probably throw away your opinion.
Second, it was an incredibly physical game and the whistles probably should have been used a lot more on both sides (but particularly ISU's defense on Keegan and Patrick). Finally, it's okay to have an off night on the road (in an incredibly hostile environment) where amazing defense is played. It happens. Sometimes little brother is more amped / plays well / and we just can't find it. Stuff happens.
Either way I think this game will help elevate this team and prepare the team for conference play. It's not all negative.
