I just saw Baylor so something I’ve always thought more teams should do at the end of the half.

Houston scores with about 35 seconds left. Instead of immediately inbounding the ball and giving Houston the last shot, Baylor waits several seconds to pick up the ball and by the time they inbound the ball it’s under 30 seconds and the shot clock is now off.

Not exactly how the clocks work, is it? Shot & game clock should start at the same moment, when a player touches the ball.

You see this with more veteran teams. Iowa does a reasonable job with 2 for 1 action at the end of the half.

Only possible in the first half. Also, you only have so much time to inbound the ball or risk a turnover. I get what you’re saying, but the kids on the floor aren’t robots. You’re asking an awful lot out of them to be able to even recognize the possibility and then make it happen all in the heat of the moment.

I’ve noticed this too. Excellent point. Just let the ball roll around a little before picking it up to inbounds it works also. Force the ref to pick up the ball or stop the clock if need be

Isn't that a the responsibility of a coach to teach what to do in specific situations like you're describing?

This car dealer stupidly admits to supplying automobiles to Mulkey and Drew this year (until he publicly admitted as such in a TV interview) to “pull recruits out of the hood”.

Forcing Baylor to issue this statement and refuse the Jeep.

No surprise there but still infuriating.
