The young man picked up his first win in relief at Pitt last year, taking Iowa from a 17-7 halftime deficit to a 24-20 win. He then notched a win as a starter over Purdue and, of course, he's 5-0 this year. That's the only stat that matters.

CJ obviously didn't look like himself today. He didn't seem eager to run and did only a couple of times. I have to believe he was playing hurt.

Anybody questioning CJ after today just plain doesn't get it.

I think he didn't have a lot of opportunity to run against that swarming defense. Maybe his worst showing, but I'm sure Wisky had something to do with that. I noticed he was overthrowing a lot of passes, but the wind probably made it hard.

Yeah -- CJ didn't have a great game, but few QB's would under the circumstances, if any. Wisconsin's D is very tough, the wind was howling, and he was missing key starters in the passing game for both protection and receptions. The deck was stacked against him. He did what was necessary to get the W -- I'll take it. Kid is a great leader and a great QB. We're lucky to have him. Anyone criticizing CJ on today's game wasn't paying attention and/or doesn't know much about football.
