Beathard Interviewed on ESPN Sports Center

On this bright Sunday morning at 11:30 am CST, our own
C.J. Beathard was interviewed on the phone on Sports Center.
He was asked when he knew this 2015 edition of the Iowa
Hawkeyes football team was special.

Beathard replied that it happened during the offseason as the
Hawkeyes prepared for their first game. He said that last January
the Seniors decided that this would be a special season if everybody
worked hard and got on the same page. He said the leadership of
the Seniors was a pivotal factor.

The ESPN Talking Head tried to get Beathard to comment
on the fact that the national media does not take the Hawkeyes
seriously, even at 11-0.

Beathard replied that Coach Ferentz just wants to win one
game at a time and that is our focus. He said that today we
start preparing for Nebraska and that is the only important
game right now.

Bottom Line: Beathard refused to get "baited" by any of the
questions.

The disrespect just makes the victories sweeter and more savorable.

Great answers by C.J. This group of Hawks really have their heads on straight. Have to give credit to the coaching staff for helping them get the ship righted, and hats off to the players, themselves, for pulling together, holding each other accountable, and working their collective asses off in the off-season and all season long. You can see the team unity in these guys. It's a beautiful sight, and it's obviously paying off in a big way.

No. That is why we are undefeated. We tried to schedule a game with NAIA #1 Morningside College but they wanted too much money.
