reports he is getting loose on the sidelines.

Hoyer is 4-12 for 34 yards, and they trail Washington 14-0.

Will CJ finally get a shot?

Touchdown. Called it back in pre season. Homer is awful and it was just a matter of time. See what he does with it.

When's the last time a Iowa QB completed a pass in the NFL? Prior to today, it's been a long time.

I believe it's Tim Dwight for any Iowa player, and Pickle for a QB. Don't believe Rudock has gotten any attempts yet, but could be wrong.

The way today is going for the Lions though, Jake may get in.

Hoyer spotted them 17

Tough spot to go in and compete when the opposing D knows you have to throw every down.

Had 1st and 10 at the Washington 40, just needed 10 yards for a decent fg attempt to win it, and then the penalty on 1st down to make make it 2nd and 20 from the 50 was a killer. Not on CJ, he dang near brought them back on the road for their first win.

Damn right. He better be... he earned that thing with how he played today

Redskins/Terps fan here.

Beathard was sensational today. Skins could not stop him or get to him. I'm sure he was inspired by seeing his grandfather's name up on the stadium Ring of Honor. I hope Shanny starts him the whole way and turns him into a rookie of the year candidate, so the Niners won't come after Cousins in the offseason.

But the guy I want to thank Hawkeye Nation for is Brandon Scherff. That guy is headed for multiple Pro Bowl starts. He has become utterly dominant on the line, and former Redskins standout players on TV continually rave about his amazing downfield blocking. He has the speed of a tight end getting downfield, and Gruden builds at least 3-4 screen passes behind Brandon every game, and they all go for big yards since he flattens 1-2 guys on every screen.

Didn't watch the game, but pulled up the highlights after reading this thread.

How can the WR be called for a pick/interference when the pass was intended for him? I thought that was a terrible call.

Did the announcers call out the refs on that? That was the ballgame there.

Stops a more than quarter-century streak without a regular- or post-season NFL snap taken by a quarterback who finished his collegiate eligibility as a Hawkeye.

Jan 5, 1992, Mark Vlasic with the Chiefs in a playoff loss vs. Buffalo was the last one.

Almost impossible to believe, isn't it?
