Beating Nebby and split Wisky/UM

as long as we embarrass Nebby 45-7 and win either of the other two games, I'll shut my trap about this mediocre program, mediocre coach and mediocre AD.

Beating Nebby is a realistic goal. But Wisky and UM might expose us even more.

We will likely end up playing a MAC tram in a bowl game. I surely won't attend but I'll watch on tv.

And there you have it. Our follow up season to arguably the best Iowa season ever.
 
Nebraska will run it at Iowa and dominate. Then the screen passes will come at you. Then ooops, there goes moore down the sidelines with a 60 yard catch..

I believe we are ranked too high. We will know more with the Indiana and Wisconsin games. But I do know we have 3 great running backs, Tommy who can run and throw, and amazing receivers.
 
Iowa can't win any of those games with the way they are playing. They may not bear Illinois. Purdue is the only for sure win

Beat kNebby and UWisky is more important than splitting them and beating Michigan

N has alot of warts when they are perfectly healthy which right now they are far from healthy. Excellent play calling and adjustments have helped to overcome the injury situation. Bye week just in time

Apple and Oranges argument. I take you didn't watch Nebraska last year. They were a better team than their record let on. But you would know that if you actually watched them.

You were non existent on this board last football season and now your vocal and want to be heard. Why did you come back? Why now?

I have a feeling the reason is that Iowa was winning and you hated it, because you didn't come back to the football board until the Stanford game. You should go back to whatever feces laden hole you crawled out of.
 
Iowa is unlikely to beat any of them.

scUM- I don't see them having any chance here. Their D is stifling. Their O can do enough against Iowa's anemic D that this shouldn't even be close.

wisky- D is too good. O is just good enough. Iowa could keep this from being a blowout, but a win just isn't there.

nebby- this is the one game they might have a shot at given the matchups on both sides. I wonder, though, how much they'll have left in the tank if the rest of the season holds to form and they suffer many beat downs prior to this game.

Tommy can run and 'throw' when he's not up against defense that is smart. He's a dumb QB to be honest and the second he starts seeing schemes he can't read, he becomes the turnover king once more.
 
I think that the Iowa -Nebraska game will be a good game and it will come down to who is the most healthy at the end of the year. Defense V Offensive Lines is where this will be won. If its a cold and windy day in November even more so. Iowa has to much talent to be playing the way they are at this time and Nebraska is not making the same mistakes as they did last year which is why they are winning the games they should. I'm looking forward to the game this year and would much rather prefer the game actually came down to winning the west.

Well Colorado fans were fond of throwing bottles and other crap at the field when they didn't get their way.

Iowa did the same Saturday with their own bottles and crap.

So yes, there are some unfortunate similarities. I just hope it never turns into brawls in the parking lot and vandalism and assaults against Husker fans in Iowa City. That would complete a disastrous comparison that Iowans should not be hoping for.

And then you wake up from your drunken stupar and realize you passed out at Kinnick and that Nebraska is really down by 14 with Iowa kneeling to end the game.

Well, yes, but Iowa fans don't usually get beat up by Iowa State and Minnesota fans. Seems like some of this stuff with Colorado, Missouri and Nebraska goes beyond normal rivalry stuff.
 
Haven't some of you been paying attention? We cannot stop the run. We aren't beating any of those teams. Bowl game no matter how minor is an extreme long shot at best.

I would be okay with the original premise of Iowa doesn't lose to Minnesota, Purdue, and Illinois.

Where is he going to find that "smart" defense in Iowa? The defense that got burned by NDSU Bison running all over them or the great defense that played so smart against Northwestern?
 
This team does certainly have some problems but if we do make it to a bowl game you won't be missed.
