Beating Nebraska...

Beating ISU and Nebraska were great bookends to a plenty frustrating season.
What are we like 10-2 in trophy games the last 3 years?! I really wish we could start gambling with the trophies that we always win & put them on the line against other teams.

Give Wyo a shot at the Heroes Trophy. Double down & put the Cy-Hawk & Floyd Trophies up against Oh St. They could’ve matched us & put the Illibuck Trophy up against us.

Nebraska fans (most, not all) are brutal. All they do is run Iowa into the ground, everything Iowa run it into the ground. It gets pretty old fast, so it always feels good to shut them up for a year. Well three years now.

Being from western Iowa, it's amazing how one win/game can make everything better. Dont get me wrong, it's been a frustrating season, but yesterday's win sure does help. Thanks, Hawks!!
There's a lot of little brother syndrome in this statement.

Funny, that's what you do to the Hawks after a lose as well! Why would you call out Husker fans - you should be calling out yourself!

Outside of a late 3rd quarter collapse where we were up 24-7, we'd be looking at 5 straight over the Huskers. And most of those haven't been close. Iowa is way ahead of Nebraska right now. The main reason is Nebraska is very weak in the trenches. It is shocking how year after year they are so weak up front.

I like this idea. Instead of some trophy a team wants when they win, give them a heap of garbage that they have to take care of when they lose. All of a sudden the IL game is interesting.
Wish I could take credit for the idea. It's a ripoff of a joke about Council Bluffs.

Jesus, why is this so hard for you? Iowa is a middle of the pack program. But right now, Nebraska is far worse. You have to be the biggest fool in the world to come here and talk smack after getting destroyed by Iowa AGAIN. Retreat back to your double wide and pretend that Nebraska is magically somehow different than the reality.

Average divisional finish equal or higher than Iowa since 2011 and one game worse this year, hardly far worse. Just sayin.

56-14. 4 of the last 5, with a majority of those being blowouts. Yes...far better. Iowa is consistent, usually a 7-5 or 8-4 teams with great seasons sprinkled in. In 19 seasons, KF has finished in the top 10 five times and has three BCS bowls. I have accepted this is the reality of Iowa football. Recently, they have piss pounded Nebby. It would be a lot healthier for you to accept that Nebby is currently a bottom rung team.

I accept that and never denied it and am glad MR is gone. Iowa will always be the floor never the ceiling for teams that are striving to win the conference. Pelini was an embarrassment on the sideline and MR was an embarrassment with the product on the field, I hate changing coaches, but hey Nebraska will keep trying.

Nope, Iowa should not be the ceiling. Just like no teams fear Nebraska or seriously consider them a championship program template. Right now Nebby is above only Illinois in the West. And they do not even belong on the same field with the best in the East. But hope always seems to spring eternal in Lincoln. So good luck. Perhaps the 5th time is the charm.

Funny I heard Iowa fan mention karma and Nebraska coaching, KF won’t be at Iowa forever and Iowa fan will get to experience a change and guess what, odds are it doesn’t work out right away, then we can have a discussion about karma.

I remember Nebraska fans posting on the Main Board after they first joined the B1G that Iowa would likely win in the series once or twice a decade. Good times.

Iowa will only beat Neb once or twice a year is what I think they meant to say. Nebbers don’t yet understand that they can only get beat by Iowa once per year.
