One of the greatest Hawkeye competitors of all time in all sports who after his playing time had passed blessed the Hawk faithful with another incredible player and young man in RDM.

Talk about chumps. RIP Roy.At least Roy controlled his drug use.
+1 Thanks for making Iowa basketball what it was in the 80s Roy.The Hawkeye family will miss you Roy. RIP and enjoy watching that great son of yours.
Carla and the girls are just crushed I'm sure. So very sorry for them. Roy did a lot for Iowa and was all Hawk including giving us a RDM when the Hawks were coming off a ten win season. That's loyalty.
Why don't we remember the dunk against Michigan or the free throws at North Carolina instead of the other stuff, huh Mission? Jesus Christ dude, what is wrong with you?
Roy was a great Hawk and so loyal to the program. He also was one of the most fierce competitors I've ever seen. Prayers and condolences to his family, friends, teammates and coaches. The Hawkeye family will miss you Roy. RIP and enjoy watching that great son of yours.
