Been told Roy Marble

My condolences to the Hawkeye family. When I was in High School I was a Hawk fan and I followed his recruitment closely. He and BJ played against some Iowa HS players down at Carver in an all star game. He, of course, won the dunk contest. He was my favorite player throughout his college years. I'm glad he got to see Devyn succeed.

One of the greatest Hawkeye competitors of all time in all sports who after his playing time had passed blessed the Hawk faithful with another incredible player and young man in RDM.

RIP #23 All-Time Great

Glad we got him on the "Wall of Pride" just in time.

You're an idiot. Using Roy's death to promptly take a shot at Barta is juvenile. This isn't about Barta chump.

A great player and great memories playing for the Hawks.. Condolences to Roy's family and hope they find solice.

Thoughts and prayers to the family for their loss. Roy was a Hawkeye, and a gifted player. That is how I will remember him.

Loved watching Roy. You can't teach that kind of confidence and determination. He was so cool and reminded me of Jordan at a college level and even wore the #. Rip Roy we will miss you.

We knew it was coming, but that doesn't take the edge off the pain we feel at Roy's passing. I'm grateful that he is no longer in pain, but will miss him. I'm sure he will be guiding the 2015-16 Hawkeye team from above. R.I.P. Roy.

More sad news. #23 was a great hawk that played on some of the best bb teams iowa has ever had. He, bj, horton, gamble, lohaus and the rest of the gang were a joy to watch.

RIP Roy Marble

Carla and the girls are just crushed I'm sure. So very sorry for them. Roy did a lot for Iowa and was all Hawk including giving us a RDM when the Hawks were coming off a ten win season. That's loyalty.

Why don't we remember the dunk against Michigan or the free throws at North Carolina instead of the other stuff, huh Mission? Jesus Christ dude, what is wrong with you?

I've been thinking about those free throws since I heard the news. Roy would have made a worthy Dikensoinan Character. And I mean that in the nicest way. We lost a very unique man.

The Hawkeye family will miss you Roy. RIP and enjoy watching that great son of yours.
Roy was a great Hawk and so loyal to the program. He also was one of the most fierce competitors I've ever seen. Prayers and condolences to his family, friends, teammates and coaches.
