Yeah, PMac didnt really do anything. Nunge missed some easy buckets and was a bit soft on the rebounding. JT, Perkins and Ulis didnt really shoot (Ulis had a short range putback blocked), with only Perkins playing meaningful minutes.
Keegan whistled for 5 fouls in 16 minutes....that is ridiculous reff'ing. It is hard to believe there is huge drop off defensively in what Kris Murray brings vs Keegan...adding another 6'8 guy with quickness and long arms into rotation would have made sense this season......why hasn't Fran played Kris more this season? Oh yeah, it would take minutes from PMAC.
The backups at PF Nunge 0-5 and PMAC 0-5...that is the game right there. PMAC can't shoot straight and zero touch in the paint. Nunge not able to make a layup. Not to say Nunge and even PMAC haven't played well in past. At least Nunge rebounded. PMAC woof.

Garza plays 27 minutes and ends up with 2 fouls...in retrospect that makes Fran look silly to have not had Garza in to balance the offense in 1st half when the lead was lost.....
CMAC only 1 assist, but plays 24 min... Fran would have played CMAC more but for foul trouble

Indiana shot 36% overall and 26% from 3 and the guy with the game winner for Indiana was 1-9 when he made the game winner. Iowa had to find ways to lose.
Lot of spots you can see in the box score that were ripe for different playing time decisions and likely a different outcome.

how many 3's have JT/Ulis/Perkins made this yr....someone said 2 in total? put it another way...Austin Ash whoever that is has 3 made for the yr. you will not win in the Big 10 if you cannot shoot. maybe this is the reason for the lack of Big ten offers.
I thought I saw 5pts in 42 minutes in the Hlas article after the Indiana game.
He's written two of the more harsh articles I've seen from IA sports media - of course all he really has to do is present the facts the last 2 games which can't be argued.
He also mentioned early talk from the players about the "NaTiOnaL ChAmPiOnShiP" talk from earlier this year. How things have changed - talking about playing in April to debating if they'll finish above the middle of the pack in the Big 10......
