Since the initial excitement after Koehn's kick on Saturday, I have done some thinking and am wondering if the folks on here have ever seen a better college kick than that? Given the circumstances, it is the best college kick that I recall.
Sure, there have been longer kicks (58-yard for a former Iowa kicker, Gramatica brothers, Janikowski, and Mason Crosby), but when you account for the fact that this was not in Colorado, there was not a huge tailwind, and it was a game-winner as opposed to an end-of-half miracle of lesser consequence, I am hard-pressed to remember a better kick.
