Made some strawberry ice cream which turned out nice. Good bunch of strawberries.

Interestingly, even though my dad and all of his brothers and brother-in-law were Vietnam and Cold War vets, my maternal grandfather was a certified WW2 war hero and I have direct paternal ancestors that fought in the Civil War, Second Seminole War, War of 1812, Revolutionary War, French and Indian War, War of Jenkins Ear and Bacon’s War. But for whatever reason we never celebrated Memorial Day beyond using it as a three day weekend to go to the beach take a small trip.

I’ll be interested to see if anyone else celebrates it.

We did a mash up of this tonight:
