Los Agaves off I80/North Dodge is pretty good. Estelas. La Regia might be the most authentic.
Casa Azul was very good the last time I was there.
La Regia is the correct answer.

I had La Regia for lunch today. Their food is so good you will put up with the indifferent service.
When I was in medical school 15 years ago I went to El Dorado and ordered the chicken fajitas. I shared them with my wife. I got so much food with that meal that I was convinced the restaurant was a cover for a drug operation. There was no way they could give me that much food for the 9 or 10 bucks I paid for it. To this day I’m still convinced they have a Walter White making meth under the restaurant. They’re just using the restaurant to launder the proceeds from the meth.Coralville
Do Mexican folks get into meth? I thought they were more interested in border crossing and meat packing.
I tried it last night. Great portions, good food. Nothing exceptional but worth a repeat visit.
When I lived in IC, it really didn't have many options at all for Mexican food. Glad to see there are some options. Can someone tell me the name of the Mexican restaurant that used to be next to The Fieldhouse? Back in the 80s and 90s. I can't think of the name and it was pretty popular back then.

Those fish fillet things look good. Never had that at a Mexican place.
I remember Gringos. That wouldn't work these days. Maybe if they put an El in front of it.

I haven't been to all, but La Regia is by far the best I've been to.
This. They have a second location on Gilbert St. downtown now too.
