La Regia is the only acceptable answer here. Everything else is a step below.
I will say andele andele in coral ridge is pretty damn good for mall food. Worth a try for sure.

When I was in medical school 15 years ago I went to El Dorado and ordered the chicken fajitas. I shared them with my wife. I got so much food with that meal that I was convinced the restaurant was a cover for a drug operation. There was no way they could give me that much food for the 9 or 10 bucks I paid for it. To this day I’m still convinced they have a Walter White making meth under the restaurant. They’re just using the restaurant to launder the proceeds from the meth.

Do Mexican folks get into meth? I thought they were more interested in border crossing and meat packing.

There used to be a Mexican place on the SW corner of Mormon Trek and the strip that was decent casual Mex. It was tucked behind a Chinese place kinda out of sight.

When I lived in IC, it really didn't have many options at all for Mexican food. Glad to see there are some options. Can someone tell me the name of the Mexican restaurant that used to be next to The Fieldhouse? Back in the 80s and 90s. I can't think of the name and it was pretty popular back then.

Yeah, but who has the best old fashioned hand poured margarita with salt on the rocks of all the Mexican restaurants in the Iowa City/Coralville area?
