3:53 pm: The Iowa WBB program announced Jan Jensen as the next Head Coach

Which makes me ask this: What about hiring a new AD? Can that be expedited and waived too? I mean Iowa spent months and around $200,000 for a recruiting firm to make a nationwide search when Barta retired, and then, as everyone knew would happen, Iowa hired the former assistant AD turned interim AD Beth Goetz. So why didn't Iowa hire Beth the same way it hired Jan and save lots of time and what some still consider a significant amount of money?
