Biden’s Final FU to America: $838B deficit in first 4 months of 2025

Then it’s a dumb comparison, who cares.

Because 300 billlion more spending in the first quarter is on pace for a 1.3 trillion more deficit spending for the year.

But the even more ominous thing is the tax revenue.

If a company told you that their Q1 comp from FY24 to FY25 had 15% cost growth and only 0.7% revenue growth, would you think they’re doing well?

Should Biden have rejected the Republican house budget?
He should have fought for lower, not higher, spending.

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — President Joe Biden on Saturday signed a $1.2 trillion package of spending bills after Congress had passed the long overdue legislation just hours earlier, ending the threat of a partial government shutdown.
“This agreement represents a compromise, which means neither side got everything it wanted,” Biden said in a statement. “But it rejects extreme cuts from House Republicans...
It took lawmakers six months into the current budget year to get near the finish line on government funding, the process slowed by conservatives who pushed for more policy mandates and steeper spending cuts than a Democratic-led Senate or White House would consider.

Spending FY24 increased by 8.87% over FY23. And that was the compromise!
The economy isn't growing at 8% or 9%.
It's burying the nation in debt while the cost of debt is rising.
It's policy insanity.

As they should. They passed the tax cuts that couldn’t be paid for. Man you are ****ing stupid. Seriously dude.
Google "spending uncovered by DOGE" and let me know what you find.

I was convinced, and to a degree still am that Republicans were as responsible as Dems for the government waste. So far the evidence isn't showing that, and while I expected waste, I did not expect corruption, and so far that's one sided...

oh my god...this is shocking news

the explicitly partisan republican audit process is only uncovering waste and fraud that can be laid at the feet of democrats?!??!

i was not expecting that outcome...very concerning

Seminole you are a moron. In either case, everything moving forward is fully on Trump and Republicans. Last time I checked republicans approved the budget in the the house.

Q1 expenses were over 150% of revenue.

Do you think that is a problem?

Do you think that registers as a problem with any Democrats and that any Democrats will step forward offering cuts to expenses?

Any answers, or just more insults?

Deficit is going to require tax increases and massive cuts.

If both parties don’t have the guts we will eventually get to the point where all tax revenue can’t even cover the interest payments. When that happens it will get damn ugly. When that time comes nobody is going to give a shit about foreign aid.
