Yes, Maduro is bad. That’s why we reduced sanctions last year in an effort to get concessions going into this election.

When it was clear that Maduro planned to maintain power no matter what, the sanctions were put back in place.

The sanctions are bad for the United States BTW. They reduce the oil supply and drive the Venezuelan immigration crisis.
