Biden is in a horrible situation going forward.

I’m not “seeming to excuse” anything.
I’m not a fan of Trump. Period.
Thats all good, but Fox news has positioned itself as outside of MSM and despite the fact that you can see the BS, you cant acknowledge that, because a huge portion of the electorate does, its very dangerous? Instead, you just roll your eyes at it and call the liberals stupid for calling it dangerous, when it clearly is.

His administration has awarded more drilling permits than the last administration. It is the production companies that have been sitting on the sidelines trying to determine when to ramp up production and make the costly investment.
I’d like to see proof of the permit comment. From what I’ve seen, he’s frozen permits on federal lands where they had been open to before

If your Google search that you did before posting identified the Bloomberg article from Tuesday, I would suggest reading the article and not the headline. Federal district judge ruling impacted (delayed) new permits. Short-term delay, but not a policy change.

Idk, I believe the pro-Putin misinformation campaign has been going on for a long time. Look at the current situation. We have the American electorate torn over who to side with, Putin or Biden. This is his dream situation, and I believe its entirely his making.

Putin started splitting the U S up by helping the trump campaign to get him elected. trump has continued that agenda, and here we are.

It's time the NATO countries start spending their money on building up their military capabilities and get prepared to defend themselves for their own future.

Only an insane person would attack a sovereign country that is a member of NATO and has nuclear weapons.

Wait...when did the WH shut down oil and NG production?
They have been cancelling drilling permits and pipeline permits. This amounts to the same thing.

They SHOULD expand drilling and transportation ability. (There are "stacked" drill rigs and parked tankers all over the globe.) This would be amazingly easy. The only obstacle would be the bureaucrats.

WASHINGTON— New federal data shows the Biden administration approved 3,557 permits for oil and gas drilling on public lands in its first year, far outpacing the Trump administration’s first-year total of 2,658.

How many of those quit drilling because of the pandemic who otherwise would not have quit drilling?

Agree with OP but seriously fear the quality of Biden’s advisers.
Susan Rice? Are you serious?
I know you've been fed from right wing media that she's incompetent. Rice is a very bright woman that knows her stuff. Jake Sullivan also is a superb advisor. Both of whom take their jobs very seriously. We are in good hands.

Putin has intentionally worked for years to create a situation that puts everyone in a poor situation. He's worked to break up the power of the EU by getting the UK to leave, he's worked to destabilize the democratic and unity of the US and get people to distrust everything our government does and to heighten the arguments between sides. In addition he's gotten half of Europe addicted to cheap Russian oil which will affect the entire world supply should it be cut off. And then he created a war where the only response was to back down completely and let him get his way OR to experience massive unrest in your own countries as the OP mentioned.

So we as Americans have to decide, do we love our cheap oil more than we care for true Democratic principles? If so, we push for a lot of loud words and nothing else... Or we become willing to do away with it and push forward with what could actually create a massive war.

Now I'm not security specialist. I think if NATO truly pushed back with all of its military might that he'd find some way to back down. Like any bully, they don't handle being punched in the face. He's also struggling for support in his own country and this was is one way for him to grow that support (Especially if the west pushes back hard).

Thankfully I'm not in the position to decide how we respond. There is no good response. And there's only one person to blame, and that is Putin and those who have propped him up for years.

I would go back to him sending a letter to the American people calling Obama weak without any reaction. Its wild to me that he tried to put himself at opposition of just the Democratic party and people didnt think that was weird.

It's disgusting that these trumpies/right wingers continue to throw bullcrap out there on a regular basis and generally have nothing to back it up.

I don't think any trumpies ought to be calling out any of Biden's administration after the unprepared, unqualified revolving door of trump's disaster of appointees the previous 4 years.

I’ll add that Putin knows how gullible Americans are and is dipping into his playbook that got someone like Trump installed here in the first place. This is why GQPers are actively rooting for him. This isn’t a coincidence.

Putin has spent years trying to break up NATO and he had a partner with trump. Another 4 years with trump and they would have succeeded. Biden has solidified NATO's strength.

He could also open back up America’s production of oil and natural gas and offer to sell to Europe and even Asia. Problem with that is it goes against to green energy being pushed.
Yep. I would announce today that we are opening everything up for at least the next 24-36 months and will guarantee no less than $65 per barrel oil to US oil producers. I would flood the European Market with oil and natural gas. Then, I would announce that every Russian student in the US (Google says there are 150,000 or so) visas are immediately revoked and they need to exit the country in the next 60 days. I would encourage other European/NATO allies to do the same. Then I would take a shit in a can send it to Putin.

I don't care enough. I was just wondering if those numbers were real or if they were similar to the 'jobs created' number.

Too lazy to look it up so you want others to do your work, or like you say you don't care, or maybe you already know the answer.

These and other things are what is needed to do in addition to just the sanctions. I wasn't aware that there were that many students, but kicking them out are the types of little things that will get the Russian people's attention, especially those that are the most well off that can afford to have their kid educated here.

No. I watched Susan Rice on live TV while she was lying about Benghazi. If you mean she knows how to lie then I agree.

Nothing Biden could do.

Putin is going to do what he wants.

what Biden can do going forward is rally the world to cause as much economic and civil pain as possible.

do you deport all Russian citizens here back to Russia?
And send a few million southern border crashers with them.

Another four years and the other NATO members would finally be paying their designated dues you mean?

Not surprised that would be your stupid take or stupid question.
I think Trump is a basic dipshit, but I do agree that the NATO members need to pay what they have promised to pay. That, to me, is common sense. Goldie is right on that.

I agree, but her statement or question that another 4 years the NATO countries would have been paying their dues was dumb because trump was well on his way to aiding Putin to get rid of NATO.

Okay. I’d call you a giant prick but surely in your case that can’t be true.
