“It is a shame for working families across the country that lawmakers continue to pursue this unprecedented attempt to deny critical relief to millions of their own constituents,” Biden said in a statement when announcing his veto.
It's a shame that Biden ignores the Constitution by trying to take action that belongs to the Legislative Branch. It's a shame that Biden doesn't believe in personal responsibility.

I think using the Hero's act and the "covid emergency" as justification for $400B+ in student loan relief in August 2022 was executive branch over reach. I think it was BS justification.

The flop was favorable, however the turn was not and has landed his hand back in underdog status for the moment. I don't think Biden has the authority to do this, but I also don't believe that Trump had the authority to use emergency funds to build his stupid wall.

Meh I'm not sure. Most college educated folks were favoring him anyway even when he said he wasn't going to pay off their student loans.

Actually it was 5.56T from 2017-2020 and 4T of that was passed by a Dem controlled house. You gave Trump credit for 2021 as well right?
