Biden waives executive privilege for new set of Trump records

LOLWUT?

YOU linked a piece by a TX legislator, where they turned around a few months later and shut down the trucking industry within their state.
Read. Please, for the love of god just read the post. You are perhaps the most frustrating individual I’ve ever talked to.

An Op Ed?
From a TX legislator, who was onboard with shutting down Mexico's imports?

Not worth my time, bud.
No. @Finance85 can you please explain to him context in this scenario. I’m really just not ready for a game of who’s on first today.

Calls someone a fool for not having the same opinion as them. Cries about others going personal.

Ironic, as the dipshit on this board says.
It’s universally accepted that federal spending is out of control and contributing to inflation. I just posted an article earlier from a liberal slanted media publication admitting it. Denying it is Q. Q is liberal.

You're calling for government intervention?

Can't the free markets resolve their own problems any more?
Nice straw man. How about not giving a head of any department of the federal government to a mayor of some no name town in Indiana?

Weird that you're posting the same answers, then.
My answer was not the same. Biden debt policy
Trumps Covid spending was done pre-vaccine. We can go into the weeds discussing what pct of inflation is blamed on who. However, only one of those diphshits signed a massive spending bill when we were on our way out of the Covid shutdown phase of the pandemic.
Again, I am not arguing that the deficit spending isn’t a big factor in the inflationary situation we are in. It is. But to say that Biden is to blame and Trump is not is not even close to reality. Trump was running up trillion dollar deficits BEFORE covid. He was also campaigning in the same 2 trillion in spending that Biden enacted.

What's Pete B. (I can't spell it either) supposed to do differently? Suddenly build more infrastructure that this country has been in need of for decades?

Oh wait. Biden signed that legislation already. It's going to take some time naturally to get that ball rolling before we see the end results out in the field. In fact, it will probably be the next president who will benefit from that legislation, although a lot of republican congressional members have been crowing about how much money they have been able to earmark for their districts/states from that law, which most of these congressional critters voted against.

Funny that.

How would you fix the supply line issues, though? That seems to be the crux of the matter.
The supply line issues are in the process of self-correcting ... via price increases and lower demand. (Note that prices are rising faster than the economy is growing) This stuff will be back in balance at some point, though at a lower overall level.

The crux of the issue is too much spending by the federal government. Compounding this are restrictive growth policies that hamper oil, coal, lumber, and even auto production ... all production really.

The government which was already too big is now bigger than ever.

It astounds me how quickly one person can so easily destroy a nice, steadily growing, and vibrant economy.

Just slur a few words while thinking you are a savant, and down the tubes we go.

The economy is going to take a while to reach equilibrium again for sure. Basically a 2 year shutdown will cause all kinds of havoc. Where the government may have gotten it wrong was with all of the relief checks going to those who really didn't need it. For those that did though, it was money well spent. It helped keep those people with a roof over their head and food in their mouths which would have been a disaster if they hadn't had it. It still was in some cases for certain people.

Now, when restrictions started being lifted was when the inflation problem began. People had a lot of pent up demand after 2 years and had extra cash in their pockets which they were anxious to spend and get back to a normal way of life. Couple that with labor shortages and supply issues and that made the problem even worse. Throw in a little price gouging on top of all of that and it was a perfect recipe for what we are seeing today.

In hindsight, maybe some form of price controls could have eased this transitionary period, but the screams of communism and socialism would have been louder than the cries against inflation given all of those people who rail against the fear of commies yet today.

Our nation's politics are part of the problem, too.

The simple reality is that during "real inflation", profits are impacted with the price increases as companies try to keep them in line.

But that's not what's happening. Prices are rising and profits are still at all time highs.

Which indicates something else is at work here. The money is going somewhere else. See if you can guess where that is... #RichPeople

I see you got the talking points, probably from the same place Brandon gets his.

Would you like to provide a little support for your claims?
