Bielema

Meh, it’s Arkansas. They are a bottom feeder in the SEC and would be in any P5 conference.

Was he not cleared to play before or after the game? From the article, it sounds like the player's status was changed after the game. It doesn't say anything about him not being cleared before or during the game, and only an idiot who's looking to change careers would play a kid who wasn't cleared to play. Unless Brett is anxious to start selling insurance, I'm betting there's nothing here.

With million$ in the bank, I doubt he'll be selling insurance any time soon.

Two losses this year ruined their program? Tough to please. You'd think they won 30 championships in the 90s.
Not a lot of championships, but Arkansas was a lot better under Nutt and Petrino. Those two at least had winning records in the conference, Bielema is currently at a 30% conf win percentage.

It's not just 2 losses that have ruined the program, it's the cumulative results under BB.

None of the buffets in Lincoln would be safe.

sounds like it changed during the game....thus a sub came in.

Bielema is a dead man walking. The only question is when he'll get fired.

I guess the other question is if he can land a P5 head coaching job after this.

The story of un-checked ego. Ego that put him in a position to get over his skiis. Wisconsin continues to have success multiple coaches later.

Wisconsin became successful when they hired Barry to rebuild a sluggish program. He established a winning culture. When he moved upstairs to the AD’s office his leadership continues. Iowa had this with Bump Elliot. At one time we saw a standard of excellence with Gable, Fry, Olson and Stringer that is unlikely to be duplicated anytime soon in all 4 major sports.

WIth a big stadium renovation underway and a below .500 SEC record ... Biels will be gone at the end of the season ... I remember when he left Wiscy ... saying that Biels won't last 5 years in the SEC ... He seems like a good guy and I wish him well ... Mostly, I hope he gets his weight under control ... Saw him on tv a couple of weeks ago and had to do a double take ... Life is short ... Take care of YOU ...

I can only guess you haven't been following him too closely.

I had the chance to interview him several times when he played at Iowa ... Yes, people change ... But in general ... he was a "Midwest" guy ...

Again, that was a long time ago. Maybe you know him personally and personally have experienced him not being a good guy ...

In college, when he sought out the ISU coach to act like a douche?

Bert is a douche. Its what he does.

I would guess it'll be sooner than later to see more coaches get canned I think Oregon State may have gotten the ball rolling I can see 3 more Pac 12 teams going different directions soon let the carousel begin

Don't know him personally, but there's no shortage of examples. (some would call it a pattern). He was mouthy at Iowa (see Walden incident) and he did enough douchey things to quickly lose favor with the folks in Madison. Hasn't changed much at Arkansas from what I've seen in the media and on live interviews.

He has a tiger hawk on his calf, I'd love to say he's a great guy... but the evidence suggests otherwise.

I do give Brett credit for exploiting that stupid rule that the clock starts on the kick. It was a dumb rule put in place to benefit the tv networks, not for the betterment of the game. Brett demonstrated just how stupid the rule was and why it needed to go.

I'd like to see what he would have to say if one of the opposing coaches went for 2 against him in the closing seconds of a blowout game.
