Can that App work on my smart TV if I have Big 10 Plus? Right now I watch the wrestling via the computer. Thanks. Go Hawks!!!

If you have the big ten app, you can sign in to your btn+ account from there and watch.

Probably depends on your smart-tv. If it's a Roku TV you can get the app. Others you'll just have to see how to setup the BTN app.

does your smart tv even have a big ten app on it?

If not your best bet is to go buy yourself a google chromecast stick. Plug it into your HDMI input, follow the instruction to hook it up to your wifi.

Then get the BTN2 app on your phone, sign up for BTN+, then hit the mirror screen button to put you pphone screen onto your main TV screen.

I believe most new Samsungs are set up with Roku/google TV. Just as Sony's have Playstation VUE.

If its Roku you can get the FLO app too

To you folks who are unplugged, how do you get your news? I have to admit I’m a bit hooked on the easy accessibility of 24-hour news channels.

I’m intrigued by the idea of unplugging but, like many others, find the process to be quite daunting, conceptually and logistically.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I know, it scared many of my friends until they see it and they just do it.

You can get an antenna that will pick up 8,13,17 here in DSM. No one ever gets 5 to come in. Don't even think NASA could figure that out. There are also ABC/CBS/NBC apps to download. Personally I have the CBS app and I pay $4.99 for the app because with that you get shows that are DVR'd. For example you can go watch every season of Big Brother or whatever. With that app you can watch whatever is on CH 8 so I catch the morning news each morning.

ABC doesn't bother me because I only watch college football and every 230pm or bigtime national game is going to be on ESPN3 channel through the Sling app on the ROKU device. ESPN3 on that is pretty awesome, you have access to like 30 different games each sat. You could watch every UNI game on that if that's your thing.

I don't have the Sony VUE but I have looked at it on my playstation 4. its a competitor to Sling for live TV ala Carte. From what I see that will have the local channels built in and is about the same thing/channels as Sling. It may be better but im used to Sling

Kind of like Iphone versus im use to Droid.

FOXnews/CNN /Bloomberg etc is on live TV with the SLING app. Google SLING and see all the channels they offer. you will be surprised

Unplugged for four years and love it.. To get 5, you need an antenna that still picks up the low uhf signal...very few antennas still do because everyone was supposed to move to hi if signals.

To the original question and even though it's been mentioned, but I would not get through life without my google Chromecast. I have one on every tv in my house and one on my office TV. If you are not aware of it, it's super cheep and it's super simple, plug in into your tv and then anything you watch online can be pushed to your TV via the google chrome browser, even if the actual player itself within the web page is not supported, you can cast your entire computer screen.

I watched the Rider meet on my 65 inch tv and the pic was fantastic. It was the jumbo-tron feed from carver with no announcing, but the crowd and mat sounds were there (along with the Panchero's Burrito push and the Delta Dental Smile jingle). The only issue was no score board so I had to take my socks off to keep track of the score in the Kem match, ran out of finger. Lucky he didn't get above 20 cuz that woulda got ugly.

Chromecast works with any TV and any computer and even your android phone a lot of times.

Ace, you're going to regret saying that. I'm going to hound you incessantly until I have everything set up.

My brother-in-law dropped my tv during a move a few months ago. I wasn't too upset cause it gave me an excuse to end around the wife and I was at Best Buy that same evening. I had a smart tv before and used chrome cast in other parts of the house. The new tv has chromecast built in and my phone has "smart view" which allows me to cast the entire screen or just what I'm streaming (so I can still use my phone for other stuff while casting the stream). The technology made this entirely too easy with no apps to download or options on the tv to navigate. I was hooking up the laptop to tv by HDMI just a few years ago but it seems so Amish now.

Sounds good. Between antenna and hulu/prime/Netflix though the roku and a good brother in law that shares cable account info, I have all I need and more. Starting tomorrow, IPTV is getting another channel added. I think I'm up to 26 channels just through antenna.

Thanks for the feedback. If I wasn't confused before the question, I am lost now. Guess I'll plug the computer into the TV again. Go Hawks!!!
