Big Ag set to roll out shorter varieties of corn due to climate change.

10 foot, or more, seems to be the norm as I drive around Johnson County and Louisa County this week, by 2027 expect to see corn that tops out at 6 feet. The shorter corn will hopefully be more drought resistant and able to withstand higher winds in climate change fueled super storms.

See a lot of fields up in NE Iowa being cut for silage. Asked a farmer friend about it and he said it's typically done on low yield ground.
