Kinda stating the obvious in the Subject line but today is a big day (with the potential to become a big week) for Iowa on many different fronts.
The Iowa women open up their pursuit of a deep run in the tournament today right here in Iowa City.The Iowa wrestlers currently sit in 2nd place overall (going into Quarterfinals) with 5 still advancing in pursuit of another national title.The men's basketball team plays this evening in Seattle for the opportunity to remove that 1000 lb gorilla off the back of the program for not having won an NCAA tourney game since forever (2001 wasn't it, for the last NCAA victory?).And UNI plays WYO today as well.
Big day for our state.

UNI ~12:40 CT Key Arena, Seattle South Regional TBS
Iowa ~6:20 CT Key Arena, Seattle South Regional TNT
Additionally, the NCAA National Swimming and Diving Championships for the men will be held next week (March 26 - 28) at the new Wellness and Recreation Center pool in Iowa City (where the butterfly stroke was created).
