  1. Ohio State
  2. Wisconsin
  3. Penn State

These three teams will continue to be teams to beat for Iowa and the rest of the Big Ten. They are three Top tier teams from the Big Ten at the national conversation and this bowl season
  • Iowa and Michigan have not won the Big Ten, since 2004; they close out with marquee bowl match ups, seeking to build momentum for 2020
  • Michigan State and Northwestern will look to bounce back, with the Spartans playing in Yankee Stadium and Pat Fitzgerald welcoming a new OC
Everyone else, since 2014 and East/West division play have not played in Indianapolis, as is the case for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan too.
  • Illinois and Indiana are trending in a positive direction and will hope to continue in 2020, benefiting from a bowl game and additional practice reps
  • Minnesota had their best season, since 1967, but came up short, how will they do against Auburn in the Outback?
  • Purdue will be a thorn for many in 2020, but injuries cost them dearly this past season ....
  • Nebraska - 5-7 and home for holidays again
  • Maryland - how will 2nd season be in D/M/V area in recruiting, but more important on the field in College Park?
  • Rutgers - they got their coach back, but long journey back to any respectability ....
The Big Ten has a tall order, with Ohio State vs. Clemson in the Playoff, then Wisconsin vs. Oregon in the Rose Bowl. How will the underdogs do?

Penn State will likely come into 2020 on a huge high, if they get their QB back for bowl and win the Cotton Bowl against Memphis, who are without a head coach now.

Will it be an all Tigers Championship Game, as one Clemson friend was sharing this morning?
